Biography

Amanda Craig was born in 1959, and brought up in Italy and Britain. She was educated at Bedales and Clare College Cambridge, she worked in advertising and journalism before becoming a full-time novelist.

Amanda is the author of Foreign Bodies, A Private Place, and A Vicious Circle. In a Dark Wood is the first of her novels to be published in the United States.

Amanda writes regularly for The Times, The Sunday Times, and The New Statesman.

She is currently working on a children’s novel, The Witch King, and on a sequel to A Vicious Circle. She has two children.
