Local face: Stephen Goldsmith, assistant manager of The Fusilier and Firkin - 17/07/02

A local lad who dreams of being the new Jimi Hendrix, Steven Goldsmith currently has his work cut out helping manage the busy Fusilier and Firkin in Camden. An aspiring guitarist with his own band The Sweet Greens, he can fully appreciate the effort put in by the range of bands that appear every day at this venue.

Carolyne Smith, front of house manager at the Lock Tavern is excited about her new menu. 'Little Bits of Britain' is a tapas version of British food with dishes like poached egg, smoked haddock and potato pot, pan-fried chicken livers with spinach and stilton and vegetable tagine, sweet potato, chickpeas, peanuts and okra.

Based in Camden Town, Mylandscapes design a wide range of contemporary outdoor spaces, like the one picture above left. Principal designer Amir Schlezinger was born in Tel-Aviv in 1969 and has lived in London since 1993.

Local face: Rachel Skinner - Primrose Hill's top hat woman

If it's hats you're after, then Rachel Skinner is your woman and her Primrose Hill shop is the place to go. Rachel has been creating hats (like the one pictured above) under her own label for the ten years and she studied the London College of Fashion before training with Frederic Fox, the Queen's milliner and then worked with Stephen Jones.
