My favourite restraunt at the mo. Nice understated relaxed atmosphere, I would feel equally comfortable eating here dressed to the nines before a big Saturday night or wearing my pajamas on a tuesday evening. The staff are so friendly, and really look after you. Not at all snooty if you can't pronounce anything on the menu but only too happy to let you practice your Italian should you be so inclined. The prices are reasonable. Decent bottle of wine for around £15 from a small but nice selection. Main course from 7 to 13 squid. Everything I've eaten here has been great, as good as anything I've had in Italy. Quite traditional but always something different on the specials board.
The best pasta in london, the best linquine allo squolio ever.... fresh taste. just like being in Italy on holiday in Tuscany.
mmmmm yummy! I used to train close to Camden and this was the place to eat real authenic tasting Italian food. The Boggi family who run it are also great hosts!
We visited this restaurant last night (5/5/07). Based on the comments elsewhere on this site I was really expecting something quite special. I was very disappointed. Although acceptable, the food was mediocre at best, the decoration is circa 1979 and in need of a huge overhaul. The service was friendly and helpful however. I wished we had chosen somewhere else to eat. Moral - everyone has a different idea as to what constitutes good quality interesting food so perhaps it isn't wise to trust other peoples' judgements!
this place is out of this world, for the quality of the food and the amount you get on the plate forget about it........ better than trattoria lucca im not to sure. thank you claudio aka serpico.
