How did you get started?

I started out with my 2 backing singers Elenor and Deniese who I met at college studying Musicianship last year. Also my producer, Jay, played keys so we went out with this set up initially which went really well nice tight intimate set.

So as we did more gigs more and more people wanted to get involved so now I have a bass and lead guitar player to switch up the vibe as and when... same girls on backing vocals. I bring in Steve on percussion depending on the gig and I now have to find a drummer to join in the fun!

What are your influences?
Many people. Cold Play, Jill Scott, Ingognito, Massive Attck, Annie Lennox, KT Tunstall.

Have you got an album out?
My album is currently being mixed and my single Highest High, is to be released, all being well, March of next year. I’m just about to start promotional stuff.

What’s your favourite thing about Camden Town?
The honesty of the people.

Where do you go to relax?
My regular open mic session at Opium, central London, and the cinema in Camden Town where I live.

What’s the best place to play?
I couldn’t really say yet only been gigging for a year, there’s always something wrong with the set up, yet to find a place where the crowd were fab, the sound (P.A) was spot on and the engineers got the levels right! Victoria Stakes in Muswell Hill however, has a really down to earth warm feel they just don't have any monitors!

Who else should we be paying attention to?
Most definitely Ella Jones (also on my space), really fresh quirky sound excellent song writer. Evon(rapper/mc), and Sky Montague. they are also signed to my label. Evon along with Ella are on my first page of friends so have a listen.

What was the last album you bought?
Ray La Montagne, love his tone

Tell us about your best ever gig.
I went to Berlin with Live Demo and was part of there line up along with Ty. The quality of acts was so amazing and it was my first ever gig abroad... I was so nervous and overwhelmed but it was my best ever gig because I overcame my fears and just went for it... the crowd was in the hundreds and were all singing along I was dancing, laughing, it was a milestone gig for me... self belief is everything!
