"This place is a legend.
It has been around for years and most people I know seem to have frequented it at some point. Full of regulars, it is cheap and cheerful, with very friendly staff and great value food. It’s not fully licensed so you can take your own booze for a small cork fee. Pizzas are around a fiver and are great (having lived for a while in Italy I am a bit of a pizza fascist, so this is high praise from me).
Recently I thought I’d break from the norm (which is fried calamari & Napolitano pizza) and opted for the lobster & frutti di mare on spaghetti. It cost a mere tenner and I was presented with half a lobster, giant prawns, calamari and a shed load of mussels. I got lobster juice all down my front and loved every minute.
Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a friendly local hang out. They also do take away spag bol which is practically free.
