A nostalgic look into the history of CBGB, the New York venue that infamously launched underground rock in 1973. A spiritual home to bands and performers from the Ramones to Patti Smith, Blondie to Talking Heads who all performed on its hallowed stage, it finally closed its doors in 2006. Not simply the setting for electric, history-defining live shows, CBGB also housed an extensive archive of photos depicting its most famous performers in their natural habitat, to which Proud Galleries has gained exclusive access for this exhibition.
