"I do agree a little with the previous comment. They do seem a little short staffed sometimes behind bar and some of the "regulars" are less than desirable.
But i still love this pub, ive only started to go in the last few months and i always have a pleasant time. The staff are great, the manager always recognises us and the food is always superb.
Its our new favourite local."

"This pub has so much going for it, and yet I keep having bad experiences here. If it's not the slow service at the bar, it's the boorishly raucous types in the garden on a summer evening. The two came together on a recent visit.

I and a couple of other people were standing patiently at the bar, waiting to be served, when up struts a builder type, who was drinking with his mates outside, and
says to the middle-aged bar lady, ignoring all the other people waiting to be served, in a tone of voice that was more an order than a request: "Here Kath [not her actual name], do us a couple of pints of Carling would you?" The barwoman duly serves him before everyone else without demur as if he is some kind of local royalty. Perhaps the guy was a long-time regular, but that is no excuse.

It may sound trivial, but this kind of experience leaves you feeling dissed, and means I won't be returning soon to the Lord Palmerston."

"Last comment made me laugh, i think they mean Geronimo, not with a "J"!!

Been a regular here for about 9 years now and I've seen it go through massive changes. The food and drink have just gone up in price, but where hasnt! If you want cheap drink the Boston is just down the road. If you want a warm, friendly, clean environment then this is the place.

If you are going to moan then go somewhere else because some of the regulars still love this pub."

"A bland and micro managed Jeronimo pub, mediocre and/or overpriced food and wine served by hardworking staff overseen by narky senior management.

Still nowhere near meeting the high standards of the old owners despite 2years in Jeronimo's greedy grasp."

"Food is best in area, service is ok, seemed to be a few new staff who needed a bit of coaching. But overall did not affect our evening. We went on a Friday and the place has an amazing atmosphere, with a wide and varied type of clientele.

"Just descovered this Great pub. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Manager on duty was charming and funny. Staff were effecient and friendly. Not too sure about the decor, some strange design features. But the package is one of the best in north london."

"Went to this pub in november and was so impressed by the food and service that i booked my family xmas meal out in their function room.

There was 25 of us in total and we were difficult, numbers changing every day, picky eaters trying to choose dishes, and what did the manager say? Nothing at all, he was polite, helpful, funny and made our evening.

I cant wait to go back. Thank you all, especially Adam for making our xmas."

"Old staff as friendly as ever, but new Geronimo staff surly to the point of rudeness. Sort it out and look after your old clientele, please!"

"A great pub with top food and a fantastic wine list. There is no music to get on your nerves and the staff are often busy chatting with the locals over the bar.

Seating outside is good as well, overlooking the charming Dartmouth Park Rd. This is a pub for the more mature drinker, certainly not a pub for anyone intrested in pulling. "

"We went for lunch one weekend. The food was quite nice but the pub does not have any way of managing the waiting list. So, you have to keep seeing all the nook and crannies and be constantly alert to see when a table is going to be free. Other customers that arrive later than us got a table before us as they happen to be next to the right place. This weekend, we wanted to go again. We arrive to the pub and quickly order the food at 15:50. However, the staff told us that they would not serve it despite the opening hours of the kitchen were written in the board as 13:00 to 16:00. Overall, nice food but service could be greatly improved

"Gone down hill under new management. Portion sizes halved - prices hiked - ingredient quality poor. The wine list has always been extensive, but is all "new world" and is generally of poor quality."

""A great pub with excellent food, a superb wine list and a good mixture of locals and some occasional celeb spotting. Carol Decker of T-Pau fame is a frequent visitor. The service is very good and the unique-shaped bar creates a buzzy atmosphere but retains the charm of a community local. Benches cater for the summer crowd whilst an upstairs bar occasionally has the football on or a pre-booked party.""
