"I live round the corner and pop in quite regularly, often just to get take-out. The place has a few faults (sitting downstairs isn't much fun), but generally the food is excellent and the staff are anything but arrogant...
I've only ever encountered very friendly staff - perhaps a bit too keen to get you through your bottle of wine, but that's manageable ;)"
