The paper also claims the spiky-haired athlete is distressed at the amount of time Charlotte spends away from their Cardiff home, because she is filming The Charlotte Church Show.

The former Voice Of An Angel scooped a British Comedy Award for the show last week.

"Gavin is really proud of Charlotte winning her award in the week. He loves her show and is so chuffed for her but also doesn’t want to lose her to her burgeoning career," an insider is quoted by the paper as saying.

"She’s been really settled of late. She doesn’t drink much and they just stay in at home together.

"It seems like the right time to think of marriage for Gavin. And Charlotte wants to marry him but not next year. He kept pushing the issue and they had a massive bust-up."

Charlotte turns to big screen - Dec 14 2006
Just weeks after splitting with her record company, Charlotte Church has signed up for a new movie.

The songstress and chat show host has confirmed she will star in Bridge Of Lies, helmed by Little Britain director Matt Lipsey.

It is her first foray back to the big screen after her 2003 movie, I’ll Be There, flopped.

In her new film, due out in 2007, Char, 20, will play a character in a small Welsh town which is blown apart by corruption, according to the Daily Express.

Since finding fame as the Voice Of An Angel, Charlotte, who lives with boyfriend Gavin Henson, has successfully moved into TV with her hit series, The Charlotte Church Show.

"I love doing TV," she said. "But I don’t want to always be just sitting on a sofa doing interviews. I’d love a bad girl part in a Brit film."

Cardiff-born Charlotte has also appeared on Heartbeat and Have I Got News For You on UK television.

Let’s hope her new flick gets a better reception than her debut movie - which reportedly managed just 10 days on UK cinema screens.

Charlotte’s trash troubles - Dec 11 2006
It seems Charlotte Church landed herself in hot water with her local council after apparently piling up sacks of rubbish outside her plush Cardiff home.

The Voice Of An Angel had reportedly put her trash outside on the wrong day, and as a result received a visit from local waste officers.

The singer was then told how to separate household waste from recyclable items, reports the Daily Star.

According to Materials Recycling Week, the curvy 20-year-old was also told to place her bags in wheelie bins in the future and was reminded of the correct day to pop out her trash.

"We dealt with her as we would any other resident," a Cardiff Council spokesman told the Star.

However, it sounds as if Charlotte won’t be in Cardiff much longer anyway, as she and boyfriend Gavin Henson are rumoured to be splashing out £1.3 million on a country farmhouse.

The pair are thought to be eyeing up a six-bedroom love nest 20 miles from Cardiff, according to Closer magazine.

The country pile also boasts two kitchens and three cottages and is set on a whopping 50 acre plot nestled in the Welsh valleys.

Charlotte’s karaoke ban - Nov 28 2006
It seems Charlotte Church’s voice isn’t quite so angelic after she’s had a drink or two.

Apparently she was recently thrown off stage in a karaoke bar in Paris - because the DJ didn’t think her singing was up to scratch, reports The News of the World.

The Welsh warbler wanted to sing Tom Jones’ Green, Green Grass Of Home but said: "We’d had quite a bit of French wine and I forgot the words."

Biography

Born in Llandaff, Charlotte Church has loved music ever since she can remember. "When I was three-and-a-half, I sang ’Ghostbusters’ with my cousin at a seaside holiday camp in Caernarfon. When we’d finished, she left the stage, but I refused to go, they had to drag me off!"

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...

"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"

This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.

Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.

She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
