Liam and Nicole 'to get hitched' - Oct 22 2007
Liam Gallagher is to marry his long-term girlfriend Nicole Appleton, it has been reported.

All Saints singer Nicole told the Daily Mirror she would be marrying the Oasis star, her partner of eight years, in a small-scale ceremony.

She told the newspaper: "It's important to me and I love the idea of being married.

"When I see him strutting on to the stage I don't recognise him. He's like a lion tamer and with a crack of the whip he controls the fans.

"He can't do that to me. At home, I'm the lion tamer. Definitely."

The couple have a six-year-old son, Gene. Liam also has two other children from previous relationships, including a son with his former wife, the actress and singer Patsy Kensit.

Wedding guests will include Liam's brother and bandmate Noel and Nicole's sister Natalie, with her husband Liam Howlett of the Prodigy.

Nicole also revealed the Gallagher brothers were getting on better after years of bickering.

Girl group All Saints have been dumped by their record label, it was confirmed today.

The band launched a comeback in November, five years after they split.

Their single Rock Steady was a top three hit but album Studio 1 was a flop and scraped into the chart at number 40.

Record company Parlophone decided to part company with the band after new single Chick Fit failed to make an impression.

It said in a statement: "Both the label and the group are proud of the album Studio 1. All Saints are excited about moving forwards with their career and Parlophone wishes them the best of luck."

The band, made up of Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt, and sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, had a string of hits in the late Nineties including Never Ever and Pure Shores, the latter from the film soundtrack of The Beach.

All Saint Nicole Appleton has confirmed she and boyfriend Liam Gallagher will tie the knot.

Although she hasn’t said when the loved-up pair will walk down the aisle, the singer says it will definitely happen.

"Absolutely yes, we will get married. Of course we will," she told The Sun.

"Things are so great between us that it will just happen when it does. We haven’t planned anything and we are really, really happy - the happiest we’ve ever been together.

"There’s no pressure from our parents to get married but when we go to friends’ weddings, I think, ’I want to do this’."

The blonde, who has been dating the Oasis rocker since 2000 and has a five-year-old son, Gene, with him, says she even refers to Liam as "husband".

"We’re pretty much married anyway and I call him my husband sometimes," she said.

"We come as a unit - where he goes, our son Gene and I go. Having children together is a bigger commitment than getting married - but we will do it."

Biography

Born in london in 1974, Nicole was sent to the US with her sister after her parents divorced but then returned to England. Unfortunately.

She is famous for two things: being in All Saints with her sister Natalie and going out with Liam Gallagher by whom she has a son, Gene.

Apart from that there is nothing really interesting or amusing about her. Except that my fashion expert friend tells me that she and her sister were solely responsible for the gruesome late nineties fashion of baggy combat trousers, skimpy tops and streaked hair.
