Sentencing, magistrates’ chairman Richard Albon ordered the TV star to pay more than £1,500 in fines and court costs and said 14 points would be added to her driving licence, meaning she would be banned under the totting-up procedure.

Philip Kelly, mitigating for Jade, said she had made a "genuine mistake" in driving without a licence and insurance.

He said she had passed her test three years ago but had not completed the necessary paperwork to get a full driving licence.

He added that Jade had accidentally cancelled her car insurance, believing the policy related to her home insurance.

And he told the court a driving ban would cause exceptional hardship.

"She is a single mother with two dependent children. She receives no support from the child’s father," he said, adding that she was "totally dependent" on her car for getting around and transporting her children, one of whom has "behavioural problems".

Jade suffers miscarriage - June 23 2007

Jade Goody has lost the baby she was expecting with boyfriend Jack Tweed, her spokesman has confirmed.

The 26-year-old is said to be devastated about the miscarriage.

When it first emerged she was pregnant, Jade said: "I’m thrilled. Jack is over the moon too, but it has come as a bit of a shock."

She currently lives with her 19-year-old boyfriend and her sons Bobby and Freddy near Essex.

A source told The Sun: "She was told there was nothing the doctors could do."

The source added: "Now she is absolutely devastated. The pregnancy came as a surprise, though she and Jack were looking forward to the baby after a very tough few months."

At the beginning of the year, the reality TV star was at the centre of the Celebrity Big Brother race row.

And only this week, her former childminder admitted in court to stealing more than £12,500-worth of cheques from her, which Jade said upset her.

Jade’s spokesman said she did not wish to comment further.

Jade’s childminder admits thefts - June 21 2007

Jade Goody’s former childminder has admitted stealing more than £12,500-worth of cheques from the reality TV star.

Luke Rustem, 29, of Harlow, Essex, pleaded guilty to the offences at Chelmsford Crown Court.

After the hearing, Jade spoke of her relief at the outcome of the case and said she was pleased it was over.

"It’s over now. It’s been going on for two years. I’m just pleased it’s over. It has upset me. Trust is a big thing and he broke that," she said.

Jade sat at the back of the court as her former childminder pleaded guilty to nine counts of theft between February 2005 and April 2006.

The court was told the defendant had cashed the cheques without the star’s permission.

Judge Anthony Goldtaub QC told Rustem he would be given a suspended jail term when he returns to the court for sentence next month.

He added: "Miss Goody trusted you and you repaid her trust and friendship by stealing from her and you should be ashamed of yourself.

"The public will know how dishonest a man you have been."

Jade wants ’rewiring’ - May 24 2007

Jade Goody would like surgeons to rewire her brain to stop her from being so dippy, it seems.

The reality TV star dropped some famous clangers during her appearance on the third series of Big Brother in 2002, including thinking that Saddam Hussein was a boxer and that Portugal was in Spain.

Biography

Big Brother’s most famous contestant was born in Bermondsey, where she worked as a dental nurse before becoming Britain’s favourite reason to stay in school.

Jade caused a tabloid frenzy the minute she walked into the BB house with her idiotic questions and unbelievable lack of common sense. She asked if East Anglia was near Tunisia and if Cambridge was in London, she took her clothes off to reveal her ’kebab’, administered the infamous PJ BJ and got a minging verruca.

The tabloids branded her a fat pig and she bitched about all of her fellow housemates openly but somehow she made it through to the final four and gained thousands of fans along the way. When Jade left the house, she was interviewed on any and every chat show in the country, appeared on the cover of Heat five times (she was even their biggest selling cover star) and even had a Channel 4 follow up documentary, What Jade Did Next, made about her in the weeks following her eviction.

Having dropped three dress sizes in matter of months, the Bermondsey girl made one of the most successful exercise videos ever, even beating skinny Geri Halliwell’s yoga workout effort to the top DVD chart spot. In the meantime Jade fell in love with Jeff Brazier, Shipwrecked’s Essex wide boy and became pregnant with her first son, Bobby. Jeff and Jade have been on an off ever since, but have recently opened a tanning salon and beauty parlour together following Jade’s qualification as a beauty therapist.

Jade Goody remains a reality TV show legend most recently appearing in Celebrity Wife Swap with Millionaire cheat Major Charles Ingram while heavily pregnant and hormonal and Back To Reality, Five’s flop Big Brother rip off in which Jade showed the nation she hadn’t learnt anything new, asking James Hewitt if he’d been ’sworded’ and if wood pigeons were like ferrets.
